Jahanzeb is a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Jahanzeb heads the Litigation practice of the firm in Karachi and, in addition thereto, the Islamabad office of the firm as well.

Jahanzeb appears before the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the High Courts of Sindh, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar in arbitration (enforcement (or challenging) of arbitration agreements and arbitral awards (both domestic and foreign)), aviation, banking (recovery suits, regulatory action, criminal proceedings in terms of the 2001 Ordinance and the 1984 Ordinance), constitutional (challenging the vires of legislative enactments, challenging executive action (or inaction)) at the federal, provincial or municipal level), commercial, company(shareholders disputes, mergers & acquisitions, schemes of arrangements etc.), civil, tax (direct & indirect including provincial sales tax on services), trade remedy (anti-dumping duty, safeguard measures & countervailing duties) and white-collar matters (NAB/FIA etc.). Jahanzeb also appears before various regulatory bodies (Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan, National Tariff Commission, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority, Competition Commission of Pakistan etc.) and tribunals all over the country. Jahanzeb also acts as an arbitrator in various civil and commercial matters.

Jahanzeb has represented and/or advised the State Bank of Pakistan (Pakistan’s Central Bank), the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the Central Depository Company, National Bank of Pakistan, MCB Bank, Allied Bank Limited, United Bank Limited, Habib Bank Limited, Faysal Bank Limited, Adamjee Insurance,  EFU Insurance, Nishat Group, Yunus Brothers Group, Sapphire Group, Arif Habib Group, Gul Ahmed Group, ICI, PMCL, Warid Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited, Telenor Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited as well as a range of multinational companies (Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Procter & Gamble, Schlumberger, EMC, Akzo Nobel, Reckitt Benckiser, Commercial Bank International, U.A.E. etc.).

Jahanzeb was the youngest member of a national task-force which was formed to review the Code of Corporate Governance applicable to public listed companies in Pakistan. Jahanzeb is also a part of the distinguished faculty which conducts the certified training of directors of listed companies offered by the Institute of Directors (IoD), UK in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance. Jahanzeb has also been involved in the training of the judges of the subordinate courts, members of the legal fraternity (Master Trainer, Karachi Bar Association) and police officers.

Jahanzeb was selected for and attended the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) funded by the US State Department. Jahanzeb was invited to visit Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Atlanta, Reno & Chicago and during the visit, hosted by the US State Department, he interacted with judges, lawyers, academics, bar association officials etc.

Jahanzeb was previously the Convener of Strategic Advisory Group which was formed to monitor and review the Enhanced Democratic Accountability and Civic Engagement (EDACE) project which was funded by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, United Kingdom. Jahanzeb also serves on the Board of The Citizens’ Archive of Pakistan and other charitable foundations working on projects relating to affordable healthcare and improving literacy.

Jahanzeb has attended the Inns of Court School of Law (United Kingdom), the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom), the Institute of Business Administration (IBA, Karachi), International Visitor Leadership Program (US State Department), National Defence University (Islamabad) and the Academy of International Business Officials (Beijing).
